Description
The starburst design on this jewelry is inspired by an award in imperial Russia called the “Order of St. Andrew First Called.” The original 40 inch collar contained multiple medallions which contain the starburst design as elaborate embellishments. The bottom medallion contains a depiction of St Andrew martyred on an X-shaped cross. The original design dates back to 1698.
